    Full Review

This is the full review of the panels and room. My experience from start to finish. We wanted a room inside my garage for work and sound isolation. Initially we bid out contractors to complete the room but we were looking at +10K and it would be permanent. I found EverPanels and decided to order. A note, I called and emailed about getting the room (8x8) but in 7 foot as my garage ceiling is only 8’2. They never got back to me. I ordered, 5 panels, 1 door, 2 power walls, seam covers and connectors. Everything came on a pallet and nicely packaged. Set up: installing the walls were quite easy but you will need two people. The walls are about 50 pounds each so 1 strong person can lift and you’ll need to snap in the connectors. Videos are online. First issue was the seam covers, they do not work. We tried everything and could not get them to install with the connectors locked into place. Because the connector tolerances are so tight, the seam covers just won’t fit. They did provide adjustable connectors but I could not use, as the floor connectors would not snap and the top panels needed to be flat. The power walls were bowed due to the wood they used inside to connect the plug. Both walls did not sit flush with the other walls and left small gaps in the corner and bowed out or in of the flat wall. The power plugs are also at 4’7 height or installed reverse at about 30” (height of a desk). Door Install: The door install was the hardest part of the wall build as it takes a bit of time to get it perfect. I just went slow and got everything lined up perfect and the door works great. It is cut quite high 1-1.5 inches, so a threshold would be needed (or bottom breeze stopper). It was a bit more difficult due to the one side being fairly narrow and it makes it hard to snap in without break anything. Ceiling: For the ceiling, I just purchased some osb board and made a basic roof, and vented out an air hole and an AC vent. I made sure to try and make it fairly light so as not to overstress the walls. Touch ups: Because I was looking for a more seal a sound mitigation enclosed space, I did have to do some things. Since the seam covers did not work and the power walls were bowed, I needed to do some sealing. I used some small foam on the gaps and covered with white Gorilla Duct tape. For all the seams, I used the tap to seal up. I will be using a sealing agent between the ceiling and walls to finalize. Since the walls are all smooth the sound bounces off like crazy and sound panels of some sort will absolutely be needed. I put some cheap ones found online and they work fine. Thoughts: All in All, this did exactly what I wanted it to do. Having the roof kit would have been even easier, but I suspect it would be much nosier compared to my built wood ceiling. It is a simple way to quickly set up a work space and isolate yourself. It took us only an hour to set up all the walls. Since I placed an AC in there, room is quite nice and does exactly what is expected. Now for sound: this is WAY over sold in their information. The sound mitigation is pretty small. If you’re speaking softly and enclosed, you would have a hard time hearing that outside the room. However any bass, loud talking is easily heard outside the walls although somewhat muffled. I put this inside my garage, so there are 2 walls to the outside now and it really does make a difference. So for sound, don’t expect a huge difference but I would say it knocks down about 55-75% normal speaking, and about 25-45% for music or noise at a loud talking/screaming DB. Conclusion: This is definitely worth the purchase if you’re aware of the limits for sound and isolated. A room can be built in no more than a few hours and everything works. Inside a garage, car shed, etc are great locations. I do recommend. If you’re looking for a seal, strong sound mitigation room, you’d be better framing a room if you can.
